Morson ISO 14001 accreditation
On 14th October 2011, the Number 1 Technical Recruitment firm Morson Group Plc achieved the prestigious ISO 14001 certification at its Head Office Adamson House, illustrating its current and future commitment to minimising environmental impact.
ISO 14001 is an Environmental Management System certificate and is seen as the cornerstone standard of the IS0 14000 series. It requires an organisation to efficiently manage, measure, improve and communicate its environmental programme. In order to assess Morson’s environmental programme, a rigorous audit was undertaken by the independent certification body ISOQAR. Continuing regular audits will ensure that environmental standards are maintained and remain an ongoing focus for Morson; which is an element of the continuous improvement ethic that Morson prides itself on.
Only organisations with excellent environmental programmes qualify for this globally recognised certification. The attainment of the ISO 14001 demonstrates Morson’s commitment to improving its environmental performance. To further highlight Morson’s commitment to this issue we have worked hard to reduce our carbon footprint by 66% since last year.
Ged Mason, CEO of the Morson Group and a key driver of the accreditation process commented:
“We are recognising more and more that maintaining and improving our environmental performance is a high priority. The attainment of the ISO 14001 is one of several key initiatives we are implementing to improve our environmental impact which also include Morson’s recycling scheme, new guidelines for company cars, green travel plans and energy efficient office buildings. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our ‘Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality’ department for their efforts in achieving this standard.”
